Cotteswolds Naturalists’ Field Club Talks

Each year, we have a programme of monthly illustrated talks in Painswick and in Minchinhampton. The current programme can be found here.

Painswick

The monthly meetings in Painswick are usually held on the first Wednesday of the month starting at 2.30 pm. Doors open at about 2.00 pm. The exception is the AGM which starts at 2.00 pm, doors open 1.45 pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the talks.

The current member’s contribution towards meeting costs is £1. The visitor charge is £4.

We meet in the Beacon Hall at the Painswick Centre, Bisley Street, Painswick, Stroud GL6 6QQ. The entrance to the hall is at the rear of the car park via a short ramp.

Parking at the Painswick Centre is limited, although there are two spaces available for Blue Badge Holders. More parking is available in Stamages Lane public car park (pay and display) off the Stroud Road (A46) for which the nearest postcode, for sat-nav purposes, is GL6 6UZ. From the car park, take a pedestrian route that runs through the Church Rooms and opens out onto St Mary’s churchyard. A paved path across the rear of the churchyard exits onto St Mary Street which should be followed to reach the ramped entrance to the Painswick Centre car park.

A map showing the locations of the Painswick Centre and the Stamages Lane public car park can be found here
